Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Find answers to the most common questions about our scholarship program.

To apply for a scholarship, you will need to submit: identity document, complete secondary school academic transcript, family income statement, proof of residence, secondary education completion certificate or school declaration, motivation letter, and, depending on the scholarship, recommendation letters. Additional documents may be requested according to the type of scholarship.
Yes, you can apply for different types of scholarships, as long as you meet the specific requirements of each one. However, if you are approved for more than one modality, you must choose only one scholarship, as it is not allowed to accumulate scholarships at our institution.
Scholarship renewal is done semi-annually, through analysis of academic performance. The minimum requirements vary according to the type of scholarship, but generally it is necessary to maintain a minimum average (between 12 and 16 values, depending on the scholarship), regular attendance at classes (minimum 75%), and no failures. It is also necessary to maintain the socioeconomic situation that justified the initial scholarship grant.
Specific scholarships for women, such as the Mozal Scholarship, have as their main differential the fact that they are exclusive for female candidates. The academic and socioeconomic criteria are similar to those of other scholarships, but there may be some flexibilization in the minimum grade requirements to encourage female participation in areas where historically there is little representation of women, such as engineering and technology.
The consequences of a failure depend on the type of scholarship and the specific policy of each program. In general, a failure may result in a warning and special pedagogical monitoring. Multiple failures or failure due to lack of attendance may lead to suspension or cancellation of the scholarship. Some scholarships, especially institutional ones, may allow the student to recover the subject in the following semester while maintaining the scholarship, as long as they maintain good performance in other subjects.
